We are delighted that so many of you want to see
the setlists from the tour and so, we are happy to
introduce this new "Setlists" page. Part of Tabarruk's
magic is that you will never (or very, very rarely)
see the same show twice. On the last tour we played 88 different
songs - from rare originals to obscure covers from all
genres, we like to keep you guessing. So even if you can't
be at the show - at least you'll know what we played!
Some pointers for reading the setlists -
1) We will list the line-up
only if there are special guests involved - in other words, the quartet
will always mean: Perry Joseph (guitar), Michael Herring (bass),
Clarke Williams (drums) and Jason Wilson (keys/vocals) -
the quintet will always mean those same four musicians plus Nick
"Brownman" Ali who is our featured special guest both
on the new album and throughout the dREaD & BLUE
tour
2) Songs of note
(seldom performed songs/interesting cover songs) will be
discussed in the paragraph written by one of the members of
Tabarruk following each show.

It's always a bit
nerve racking playing for the home crowd - add that it was a
reggae-wise crowd doubles the pressure! But we like the
pressure. It was a short 50 minute set and we threw in quite a
few cover songs to set the mood. During 'Brother', we did what I
like to call an "Irie Music Medley", featuring
songs by headliners of the previous Irie Music Festivals.
The medley included; Maxi Priest's 'Wild World', Third World's
'96° in the Shade' and Toots & The Maytals' '54-46'. It was a
pleasure having Garfield Stoddart guesting on guitar and Marcus
Ali blowing beautifully during 'Soon Come, Jackie'. We were well
appreciated and encouraged to do an encore - the old Wailers'
classic 'Soul Shakedown Party'. All around solid gig!
